At the close of the submission, more than 100 feature film projects involving 49 countries world-wide have reached us. We will now select the around 25 projects that are going to be presented to an international circle of experienced sales agents, distributors, producers, commissioning editors, financiers, festival representatives as well as other complementary partners. Film excerpts taken from the already shot material allow you to better assess the quality and compatibility to your own profile as well as, furthermore, estimate the crossover market potential more realistically. Session rounds with pitches of 10 to 15 min. length will be followed up by individually arranged one-to-one meetings to provide the opportunity to collaborate and close deals.

European Work in Progress Cologne will announce its selection of projects by mid-September.

It would be our great pleasure to welcome you to the first edition of European Work in Progress Cologne (EWIP) taking place from October 9th to 11th, 2018, during the 28th Film Festival Cologne. We would like to, herewith, sincerely invite you to be part of this first, but surely not last, edition of this newly initiated industry meeting.

If you are interested in participating, please kindly confirm your attendance by September 30th, 2018, or at your earliest convenience using our online form

With your accreditation pass you are given full access to European Work In Progress Cologne including the panel sessions in collaboration with Creative Europe Desk Germany, MEDIA and EAVE, as well as to all public screenings and sessions of the Film Festival Cologne 2018 as long as tickets are available.

European Work in Progress Cologne is hosted by AG Verleih, the association of German independent distributors and supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, one of Germany’s leading film funding institutions as well as our award sponsors MMC Studios and K13.
