European Work in Progress (EWIP) celebrates its 8th edition with a new home: Hamburg.

Thanks to the new cooperation with FILMFEST HAMBURG INDUSTRY and MOIN Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, EWIP Hamburg will take place from 29 September to 1 October 2025, continuing to spotlight outstanding European projects and connect them with key industry players.

Supported by Creative Europe MEDIA, EWIP Hamburg will present up to 30 European feature-length projects—fiction, documentary, and animation—currently in production or post-production. Projects are selected for exclusive presentations to international sales agents, distributors, festival curators, and other film professionals.

EWIP Hamburg is excited to continue its successful collaboration with TorinoFilmLab, the renowned international audiovisual lab. Thanks to this partnership two post-production projects that have been developed within the FeatureLab, ScriptLab, or TFL Funds programs will be featured in the official selection of EWIP Hamburg.

Projects presented at EWIP have gone on to premiere at Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Sundance, San Sebastián, Rotterdam, Toronto, and more—often securing key international sales and distribution deals.

The Call for Projects will open at the beginning of June and will accept submissions until August 14, 2025.
